Smoked Gouda Cheese Spread

I love the summer season for a number of reasons; the abundance of vibrant, flavorful veggies is one of them. Around this time of the year, you’ll see frequent appearances of cheese boards, bowls, platters, and spreads on my feed.

Veggie platters are my preferred option for snacking during these warmer months as it’s a great way to make sure you’re getting your daily intake of veggies + the presentation of a vibrant board is always great to look at.

The subtle smoky flavor you'll taste from this spread balance well with the green onion and cilantro. You can also try it with bagels and smoked salmon (you can thank me later!).

You Need

  • 2 cups smoked gouda cheese, shredded
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup mayonnaise (I use Primal Kitchen's Mayo w Avocado Oil)
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 jalapeno, seeded and minced
  • ¼ cup cilantro, finely chopped
  • ¼ green onion, finely chopped
  • Salt and white pepper to taste

Do It

  1. Place all ingredients into the large bowl of a mixer.
  2. Using the paddle, beat at medium speed until thoroughly combined.
  3. Season to taste with salt and white pepper if needed.

Goes well with in-season vegetables, crackers, and charcuterie meats.
